Slumdog Millionaire

I just watched Slumdog Millionaire (a couple years later, I know) and I absolutely loved it. This came from Danny Boyle, of 28 Days Later fame, one of my favorite movie series. Is there anything he can't do? Except a 28 Months Later.

Donut

Recently, I've been more concerned with battery life on my phone than new features. It seems like others in the community have expressed the same interest, and a lot of us would be willing to get off of Froyo or Eclair for Donut. Remember, new Android builds aren't meant for our G1s' old hardware, and it's through the wondrous community that we're even able to run these builds.

I was running Eclair, then I moved to a Froyo rom, then back to Donut until as recently as a week or two ago. When Google Voice Actions came out, and LauncherPro added a bunch of new features, I had to get on a 2.x rom to try them out. I think a community member is working on a new Donut build, and I'm excited to give it a try.

Past Couple Weeks

What's been going on with me these past couple weeks? I went to the Zoo and Sea World. Played some frisbee. Bought cleats for the first time. Got the new cell phone itch (I curbed it by picking up a cup holder phone holder. Now, I have to take my car in to get my cigarette lighter working). I've watched the White Sox season almost fall apart. Considered switching to Trillian from Pidgin because of the Android app. Installed all versions of Android on my phone from Donut to Froyo. Watched the first season of Glee again.

Opera

I've moved back to Opera. I missed mouse gestures working properly. The Chrome Adblock extension was also doing too much, and causing Youtube and other pages to not load.

Fourth of July 2010 - San Diego

I gathered all of my fireworks clips from this past 4th of July and created a video. Since Windows Movie Maker has support for cheesy transitions between video clips, I had to add them. Enjoy!

MLB.TV

I've been talking about it for awhile: getting MLB.TV. I've also been looking at getting a Roku Player for awhile. A couple days ago, I ordered the Roku, but opted for Amazon's free take forever shipping, so I'm still waiting on that. I decided to buy a year subscription to mlb.tv and today seemed to be a good day to get into it. I watched the White Sox take 1st place in the central going into the All-Star break and I'm currently listening to the Padres game. Yay baseball!

Mint.com

Here's my quick nod to Mint.com.  Without it, my financial information and budgets would be left in a Google Spreadsheet.  Mint.com grabs data from my bank accounts, credit cards, 401k, etc. and displays all of it in one place.  Instead of having to go to the banks' different websites, I can get view my entire monetary history, including detailed spending reports and budgets in one place.

Apologies

I apologize for the lack of updates. The whole moving to San Diego thing and starting a full-time job has really taken away a lot of my time. I'll try to get into a routine of regularly posting on my blog again. Until then, keep being you and keep reading me. I rather like that, I just came up with that right now.

House Hunting Trip

It's been a busy couple of weeks.  Since I didn't actually take any footage of me moving over here (who really wants to see footage of me on a plane from Chicago to San Diego?), and I have footage from the Dallas Fort-Worth Airport from my house hunting trip, I decided to make a little video.  There's no editing done to any of the clips, and I just threw Phantom Planet's California on top of it.
